National Day of Remembrance, Memorial Day, United States of America

On Memorial Day, America respects their soldiers with a day of Remembrance, but many people may not realize there is also a moment of remembrance at 3:00 p.m., where baseball games halt and train whistles blow to pay tribute to those to died in service to the United States of America.  If you are not participating in a parade or other memorial service, you can still remember those who fought for you.

I received this in an email from autom:
Take a moment to pray.
No one has greater love than this, to lay down one's life for one's friends. –John 15:13
and other ideas:
  • Visit cemeteries and place flags or flowers on the graves of our fallen heroes.
  • Visit local memorials.
  • Fly the U.S. Flag at half-staff until noon.
  • Fly the POW/MIA Flag
  • Pledge to aid the widows, widowers, and orphans of our fallen soldiers, and to aid the disabled veterans.
